Icezeit | Traditional Italian Ice Cream
Icezeit travelled to South Africa, in a way that the very best adventures begin, in a treasure chest…well a suitcase. Beginning on the back of an epic love story, Icezeit grew from humble beginnings, one happy ice-cream stall in Cape Town, then a few more, to become the luxurious Gelato it is today.
Our multi-cultured Gelato will hear many languages before it reaches you and your guests...Italian Recipes from Umberto Mangini, perhaps a little French from our Gelato Chef who oversees each unique batch in production, Austrian Germanic as your order passes though our office and for good measure some Afrikaans or Shona while its on the road to you.
With over 150 flavours of your favorite Gelato and Sorbets, Icezeit boasts the kind of European pedigree that makes it one of Cape Town's must-taste delicatessen destinations
With the Production situated in the heart of Cape Town, Icezeit opened doors in 2007. We pride ourselves on using fresh fruit and fresh pasteurized milk and spring water to form the main ingredients of our Sorbets and Gelato, and deliberately keep sugar volumes low
For our Gelato, we use a warm production process which involves heating the ingredients up to 85 degrees and then cooling it down to 4 degrees. It involves highly specialised imported equipment that ensures a smooth, creamy, flavorsome result. This warm process adds texture and depth to the final product
Pay us a visit to sample the variety of flavors at our kiosk on the Seapoint Pavillion. There is always a selection of at least 10 of our decadent gelato's - or if you are health conscious, you'll also find a wide range of seasonal fruit sorbets which will appeal as much to children as they do to more discerning palates. Our sorbets are also all vegan friendly
Our production, which also caters for restaurants, deli's, hotels and catering companies, is open weekdays from 6am to 5pm. For more information or to place an order email firstname.lastname@example.org
A truly globally inspired Gelato, made with the most important ingredients love and passion.
